News in the Camp
Captain Thomas W. Patton Camp 2021 has been in the community this year telling everyone we come in contact with the truth about the Confederacy and the Southern people. The Camp has been to numerous schools talking to the school children and parades getting 1st place in one of the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in the country. Many organizations have invited the Camp to events and organized reenactments. The Patton Camp has a membership that stands strong for the Confederacy and our ancestors. We have defended the Confederate cause with students wearing Confederate shirts to schools and writing to authors about the truth of Confederate History. We stand against racism and all hatred of the American people.
We are the caretakers of General Morgan's last stand in Lisbon, Ohio. The rock that holds a plaque that tells about General Morgan has been preserved for all to admire. We look at this not as a final surrender spot but as the farthest point North for the Confederacy. We also have a committee that seeks out and finds Confederate graves in the area. Our Graves and Monument co-ordinator has done a wonderful job this year.
Camp 2021 is one of 9 camps in Ohio. The Camp has a lot to offer all SCV members so take a look at all the pages. We welcome your comments and questions.
